What is a Kayak?
Kayaking is a water sport that consists of riding in a kind of canoe, but shorter, and propelling yourself with a double paddle. It is an excellent way to go sightseeing, discover new places, make new friends and occupy our free time while maintaining an acceptable physical condition.
Where does the activity start?
The Kayak Ibiza experience starts from the TAKEOFF® activity center. The address is Calle Valencia, 24 (Sant Josep de Sa Talaia). There the client can leave their belongings at the locker and collect them at the end of the activity. Then, you will travel by van with the monitor to carry out the experience on the beach of Port des Torrent.
How can I go to TAKEOFF®?
TAKEOFF® Ibiza is perfectly communicated with bus line 2 (P. Port des Torrent). If you come by motorcycle or car, you can also find parking nearby.
When do we enter the water?
Before jumping into the water and after equipping himself with the appropriate clothing, the instructor offers the client some basic tips to get on the kayak: arm movements, balance, safety techniques and communication codes. After the time of the activity, the client returns to the TAKEOFF® Ibiza center to end the experience.
Can the activity be canceled?
Cancellation of the activity may be made up to 24 hours before it. In the event that the cancellation is due to weather conditions, a new date will be offered or we will proceed to return the entire amount paid.
Are there any essential requirements?
The only requirements are: be 16 years old, know how to swim, have ID or passport and go to the center with a confirmed reservation.
Who can get on a kayak?
Our instructors recommend kayaking to keep you in shape. However, it is not recommended for people in a wheelchair, pregnant or suffering from back problems.
